There is a reason why many Europeans and Americans come to Southeast Asia. It is to get some fun under the sun. Those countries are pretty cold so they can rarely get a tan. There are many nice beaches in Southeast Asia to simply relax or you can do activities like scuba diving, beach volleyball, or even surfing. Here are some of the best beaches to visit in Southeast Asia:
1. Ao Nang Beach
This beach is located in Krabi, Thailand. It is pretty long and you are going to see a lot of families enjoying the sun. There are a lot of tourists here all year long. In addition, there is a Burger King right in front of the beach that offers a vegan burger. Getting there won’t be so hard either as there is a bus that comes directly from Krabi town. It won’t even cost much to go there but that price would vary depending on the time. Thus, better come early and leave the beach before the sun dawns. Also, there are a ton of accommodations that are located near this beach. Some of them are party hostels which are good for young backpackers who like to party the night away.
2. Nacpan Beach
It is a pretty quiet and serene white sand beach in El Nido, Philippines. It is an hour tricycle ride away from El Nido town but it is going to be worth it. The sunset here is pretty nice for those who like to take a picture of that. There are not many beachfront accommodations in this beach because most of the hotels are in El Nido town. However, you can expect that to change as most of the people here usually do a day trip. The scene is so relaxing that you won’t notice how fast time flies.
3. Puka Beach
If there is one thing Boracay in the Philippines is known for, it is Puka beach. It is a white sand beach with lots of tourists. It is best to go here during the summer as you will certainly feel the heat. The locals here are also selling some buko juice to quench your thirst. It is usually a long tricycle ride or a short boat ride from Boracay town. When you get there, your jaw will drop due to how amazing the scenery is. It won’t be long before you will be forced to extend your stay because of how nice it is to relax in this area. You may even bring your friends and they will have a great time the next time you come back to Boracay.
4. White Beach
This beach is pretty different when it comes to nightlife. There will be some fire dancing performers who will attempt to entertain you at every chance they get. In addition, there will be some singers even though some of them are not any good. The important thing here is you can do a lot of things at Puerto Galera, Philippines and that includes diving. There is also a bunch of island hopping tours that you can book at cheap prices. Puerto Galera is actually known as a poor man’s Boracay because of all the cheap finds.
5. Patong Beach
This beach is where everyone goes to Phuket, Thailand. There will be a lot of ladyboy shows during night time for the sake of entertainment. There is a reason why there are so many bars around the area. No doubt, you are going to have fun at night. You can’t blame yourself if you wake up late the next day. It is pretty lively here even if it is way past midnight. Sleep is certainly not something they are fond of. The locals here are pretty fun to hang out with.
Before going to any of the above beaches, it would be best to bring suntan lotion unless you want to get all red. It really depends on how your skin reacts to the sun’s UV rays. Some say it would not be smart to go to the beach at lunchtime. They say it would be better if it was near sunset so the sun won’t be too strong on your body.
